Choose this item to attach a Garmin® Transducers GT 22, GT 24, GT52 or GT54 on a Trolling Motor, Jack Plate or Transom Set Back.  It is VERY IMPORTANT that you complete the questionnaire below in full when ordering this item.   This Transducer Shield will not fit the new Garmin GT 36 or GT56 transducer.

Description

Item # TG-GT-6 is built in High Quality Aluminum Alloy and Black Powder Coated to withstand harsh environment.  It is designed to fit Garmin DownVü/SideVü with Chirp Transducers – GT 22 # 010-12403-00 or GT 24 # 010-12908-00, or GT 52 # 010-12405-00 or GT54 transducer # 010-12909-00.  This Transducer Shield will not fit the new Garmin GT 36 or GT 56.transducer.

The Transducer Shield’s sleek hydrodynamic design will cut through the water for less drag especially on trolling motors.  It reduces collection of debris, keeps the transducer positioned correctly and will not interfere with the transducer signal.

For Trolling Motor installation, two straps are required which are not included and should be purchased separately.   Optional:  HDTS-B heavy duty black powder coated stainless steel straps @ $5.95 each and available in three sizes to suit your trolling motor.

Warming:  Trolling Motors 12v or 24v 70 lb and below additional custom items will be required for the Total Scan transducer to fit.  Pricing will depend on your particular trolling motor.  When placing an order for this product, please make sure that you answer all the questions in the questionnaire.  From the information you provide we can determine if additional parts are required and you will be contacted.

Item TG-GT-6 along with additional components can easily be bolted to (a) the side of a Jack Plate or (b) on the Hole Shot Plate under the Jack Plate or (c) on the boat set back (under the transom).  The Transducer Shield must be attached to an L Bracket or Wedge for (a), (b) or (c) installation.

ADDITIONAL COMPONENTS required when placing the TG-GT-6 Transducer Shield for the following installation options:

(a)  on the side of a Jack Plate – Please go to L Brackets

(b)  on the Hole Shot Plate under the Jack Plate – Please go to Wedges

(c)  on the Transom Set Back – Please go to Wedges

*** If your boat does not have a Jack Plate or Set Back and you must attach your transducer to the back of the boat on the transom – Please go to Spring Back Bracket Item # SBB-5 and Armor Plate Item # AP-GT-6.

Please be aware that when installing a GT 22, GT 24, GT 52 or GT 54 transducer at the back of the boat, the transducer will lose the signal when the boat is up on plane.  To track the bottom when the boat is up on plane, a thru hull transducer may be required.  See your Garmin® owner manual or Garmin directly for additional information.
