In 2018, life partners, Dan and Sue Dannenmueller, became fishing partners after forming their competitive fishing team: Crappie Mates. Since then, the duo has fished many tournaments across the country while competing in the American Crappie Trail, Crappie USA Tournament Trail and Crappie Masters All American Tournament Trail Tours. Dan and Sue are proud to be sponsored by trusted names in the industry such as Garmin Fish and Hunt, Yamaha Outboards, Bass Cat Boats, Airport Marine, B’n’M Poles, Power-Pole, Road Runner Lures and 20+ other notable brands.

The couple has been married for over 45 years and has three children and five grandchildren that all love to fish. In her professional career, Sue worked with children as a certified child care provider for the Department of Defense. Dan is a retired Air Force 25-year veteran and is the CEO of Knowledge Management Solutions, Inc. based in Millbrook, AL.
Dan and Sue are passionate about giving back to an industry and community that has given so much to them. Crappie Mates takes every opportunity to educate in the form of seminars, podcasts, media camps, Youtube videos, publications, and publishing regular editions of CrappieNOW. Dan is the publisher of CrappieNOW: an unequaled online-only crappie fishing magazine that gives anglers access to information on new crappie fishing tips, techniques, destinations, equipment, tackle, tournaments, and the latest news from industry-leading professionals.
